Hi, I'm Cinthya - a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. I've been shooting film stills for over a decade, and eventually that love for the medium pulled me toward moving pictures too. I'm currently in my thesis year at NYU Tisch working on my first feature.
Weddings caught me by surprise when a friend asked me to shoot theirs in Mexico City on Super 8, and I've been hooked ever since. The intimacy, the joy, being trusted to capture something so personal on a medium I love — it all felt like a place I wanted to be part of.
My approach is documentary and naturalistic, composing around what's already happening. I care about the big moments and the small details equally.
I also love to travel. Montenegro, Slovenia, the deserts of Utah and Arizona have all been favorites so far, and I'm always happy to go somewhere new. Feel free to reach out from anywhere!
